Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Oasis Relief Cap.
About The Product
1. What exactly is the Oasis Relief Cap?
The Oasis Relief Cap is a contoured, drug-free cold-therapy cap designed for migraine and tension headache relief. It's made of stretchable fabric filled with medical-grade gel that stays soft even when frozen — so it conforms to your head instead of pressing hard against it.
Unlike a regular ice pack or sleep mask, the Oasis cap delivers cold therapy across all four migraine trigger zones at once: temples, forehead, eyes, and the base of the skull. It also blocks 100% of light, giving your eyes a complete break from photophobia (light sensitivity) — one of the most common migraine symptoms.
2. How is this different from other migraine caps I've seen?
Most cold caps cool one area — usually just the forehead. The Oasis Relief Cap was engineered to deliver cold therapy across the entire head simultaneously, including the temples, base of skull, and sinus area, which most caps miss.
We also designed it without Velcro and with a hair-friendly construction — so ponytails, buns, and longer hair don't get pulled or crushed under the cap. The gel inside stays soft at freezer temperatures, so it doesn't dig into your head the way rigid gel packs do.
If you've tried other caps and felt like something was missing, that "something" is usually full coverage. That's what we built Oasis to fix.
3. Is the Oasis Relief Cap FDA-cleared?
The Oasis Relief Cap is a non-prescription wellness product and is not classified as an FDA-cleared medical device. Cold therapy itself has been studied in peer-reviewed research for migraine relief, but the Oasis cap is not registered as a medical device with the FDA.
If you have a chronic medical condition, please consult your healthcare provider before use.
4. What's it made of?
The exterior is a soft, stretchable fabric. The interior is an upgraded medical-grade gel that stays flexible at freezer temperatures (it doesn't turn rock-hard like cheap gel packs).
The cap is designed to be reusable for many freeze-and-thaw cycles when properly cared for.
5. Does it come with anything else?
Every Oasis Relief Cap order includes:
- The Relief Cap itself
- The 20 Minute Migraine Protocol - Digital Download
- Care instructions
Bundle purchases (Buy 2, Get 1 Free / Buy 3, Get 2 Free) include free shipping and additional caps. The 3-pack qualifies for our complete bonus stack.
How to Use It
6. How does it work?
Three things happen when you put on the cap:
- Cold constricts — sub-32°F cold therapy tightens the blood vessels in your scalp and temples, which slows the inflammation that drives migraine pain.
- Nerves calm — cold therapy reduces pain signals traveling through the trigeminal nerve, the main pathway your migraine uses to reach your brain.
- Pressure releases — gentle compression activates your nervous system's calming response, which is why cold + pressure together feels more effective than either alone.
Within 20-30 minutes, the combined effect of cold and gentle compression delivers measurable relief.
7. How fast does the cap get cold?
Place the cap in a sealable bag and put it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or in the freezer for faster, more intense cold therapy. Always check the temperature against your wrist before applying to ensure it's comfortable.
For rapid relief, freezer storage is the standard practice. Refrigerator storage works for milder cold therapy if intense cold feels too strong for you.
8. How long until I feel relief?
Most users feel relief within 15-20 minutes of putting the cap on. Some feel a difference within the first 5 minutes, especially if the cap goes on early in the migraine.
For best results, put the cap on at the first warning sign — visual changes, pressure behind the eyes, neck tension. Cold therapy works fastest when applied before the migraine fully develops.
9. How long do I leave it on?
Most users wear the cap for 20-30 minutes per session. The cap stays cold for approximately 30-45 minutes when fully frozen.
For more frequent migraines, the 3-cap bundle lets you rotate so you always have a cold cap ready — never wait for a single cap to refreeze.
10. Can I use it as a preventive measure or only during a migraine?
You can use it both ways.
Many users wear the cap at the first sign of a migraine to stop it from progressing. Others use it preventively — for example, after a long screen-work session, after a stressful day, or when they feel a migraine "warming up" but hasn't fully started yet.
It's not a substitute for any medications your doctor has prescribed for migraine prevention.
11. Can I heat the cap instead of freezing it?
Yes. While the Oasis Relief Cap is primarily designed for cold therapy, the gel material can also be safely warmed for tension-type headaches, sinus relief, or stress relief — all situations where heat therapy is preferred over cold.
To heat: Remove from any plastic bag, ensure the cap is at room temperature, then microwave for 45 seconds. If more heat is needed, microwave in 5-second increments. Always test the temperature against your wrist before applying. If it feels too hot, let it cool for a few minutes before use.
For migraines specifically, cold therapy is the recommended approach. For tension headaches and sinus discomfort, many users prefer heat.
12. Can I use it while doing other things?
Yes — for many activities. The cap stays in place hands-free, so you can use it while:
- Reading or relaxing
- Watching something quietly
- Lying down or resting
- Sitting at a desk (not staring at a screen — light sensitivity is a common migraine symptom and the blackout coverage is part of the relief)
Do NOT use the cap while:
- Driving or operating machinery (the blackout fabric covers your eyes)
- Sleeping (the cold could over-cool localized skin overnight)
- In wet environments (showers, baths)
13. How do I store it between uses?
For ready-to-use cold therapy, store the cap in your freezer in the resealable bag it ships in. Some users keep one cap in the freezer for fast cold relief and one in the refrigerator for milder cold therapy.
For travel, you can use a small insulated cooler bag with an ice pack to keep the cap cold for several hours.
14. How do I clean it?
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and lay flat to air dry. Do not machine wash, hand wash, bleach, dry clean, iron, or put it in the dryer or hot water. The interior gel and fabric construction are designed for spot-cleaning only.
If the gel pack tears or breaks at any point, discard it immediately and contact us for a replacement.
Comfort, Fit & Safety
15. Will it fit my head?
The Oasis Relief Cap is designed as a one-size-fits-most product, with stretchable fabric that accommodates a wide range of adult head sizes. It's also constructed without Velcro, so it slides on and off without pulling hair.
If you have specific sizing concerns, contact us before ordering — we can help you decide whether the cap will work for you.
16. Does it work with long hair, ponytails, or buns?
Yes. The cap was specifically designed to be hair-friendly — no Velcro that pulls hair, and an open-crown construction that accommodates ponytails, buns, and thick hair without crushing them.
Whether your hair is up or down, the cap fits comfortably.
17. Is the cold uncomfortable?
The cold is intentionally intense — that's what makes it effective. Some users notice the first 30-60 seconds feel sharp before the cap warms slightly to a comfortable level.
If the cold feels too intense initially, try refrigerator storage instead of freezer storage for milder cold therapy. You can also let the cap thaw on the counter for 2-3 minutes before use to take the edge off the initial cold without losing therapeutic effect.
Always check the temperature against your wrist before applying to make sure it feels comfortable.
18. Are there any safety concerns I should know about?
Yes, please review the following before use:
Do not use if you have:
- Raynaud's syndrome or cold urticaria
- Circulatory disorders affecting the head or neck
- Open wounds, broken skin, severe swelling, or sensitive skin on the head
- Active skin infections on the head
- Sensory impairment that prevents you from feeling cold-related discomfort
Do not use directly on:
- Broken skin or open wounds
- Areas of severe swelling
Discontinue use immediately if you experience:
- Numbness, tingling, or skin color changes
- Skin irritation or rash
- Headache worsening
- Any unusual or persistent discomfort or pain
If discomfort persists or worsens, discontinue use and consult a physician.
Pregnancy: Consult your healthcare provider before use during pregnancy.
Frostbite warning: Do not use the cap for extended periods at a time. Prolonged use of cold therapy can cause frostbite or skin damage. Apply as directed.
The cap is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
19. Can children use it?
The Oasis Relief Cap is designed for adults (18+). For migraines or headaches in children, please consult a pediatric healthcare provider — children's needs and safety considerations are different from adults.
Keep the cap out of reach of small children and pets.
20. Will it give me brain freeze?
No. Brain freeze (sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia) is caused by cold contact to the roof of the mouth, which the Oasis cap doesn't reach. The cold therapy is applied externally to the scalp, temples, forehead, sinus area, and base of skull — none of which trigger the brain-freeze response.
Pricing & Bundles
21. Why does Oasis recommend buying multiple caps?
A single migraine attack can last anywhere from 4 to 72 hours. Each cap stays cold for 30-45 minutes, then needs 1-2 hours in the refrigerator (or less in the freezer) to refreeze.
That math doesn't work for most chronic migraine sufferers. By the time your first cap warms up, you're stuck waiting for relief while a second wave of pain builds.
Our 3-cap rotation system solves this:
- Cap 1: On your head (cooling now)
- Cap 2: In the freezer (refreezing for the next wave)
- Cap 3: Travel backup (work bag, car, nightstand)
For chronic sufferers (2+ migraines per month), the 3-pack bundle is the right starting point. For occasional users, a single cap works fine.

Shipping & Returns
24. How long does shipping take?
Standard U.S. orders ship within 1-2 business days and typically arrive in 5-10 business days. We offer free U.S. shipping on all orders $79+.
International shipping is available to Canada, the UK, Australia, and select EU countries with extended delivery times of 7-14 business days. International shipping fees vary by destination and are calculated at checkout.
25. What is the 99-Day "Migraine Days Happen" Guarantee?
You have 99 days from your delivery date to test the Oasis Relief Cap through real migraine attacks — not just good days. If it doesn't become your first move when a migraine hits, send it back for a full refund.
No questions asked. No hassle. No hard feelings. Even if you used it.
We chose 99 days specifically because you can't judge a migraine product on a good week. You need real time to test it through hormonal migraines, weather migraines, the "came out of nowhere" migraines, and the 5 PM ones. Anything shorter wouldn't be a fair trial.
26. How do I start a return?
Email support@oasisritual.com with your order number and we'll send you return instructions within 24 hours. You can return within 99 days of delivery for any reason.
You keep all bonuses (the Ritual Handbook, free shipping savings) regardless of whether you return the cap.
27. What if my cap arrives damaged or doesn't work properly?
Email us at support@oasisritual.com immediately with photos of the issue. We'll ship a replacement at no cost — typically within 1-2 business days. You don't need to return the original cap.
If the gel pack tears or shows any damage during use, discard it immediately and contact us for a replacement.
